Okay, slight panic moment. I only have 13 days until my marathon! Actually considering it's almost bedtime here 12 days until I run my marathon. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek! I'm really excited but getting a bit nervous too. I've always said I'm in it to finish not win it, but I want to finish in under 3 hours if I can and I've only done that once during practice runs and that was only by 2 minutes! I guess I have to keep a positive outlook and just do my best. My husband always wanted to run a marathon and figured he'd have to wait until he retired to do it and here we are at 26 (me) and 30 (him) running our first half-marathon. After it's over I plan to switch from running long distances slowly, to running shorter distances faster. Speed is something I'm not so great at so I'm going to go back to interval training and work on that. So I have something to look forward to once I finish the race. That and I can go back to kickboxing classes since I won't need to run every day anymore! Yippy!
