Me 1: Rain 0!

Hahaha! I ran outside today and didn't get wet. It was raining all day and I had a pretty losey morning with lots of stuff going wrong, which I won't go into, and by the afternoon I needed to ran badly! Something about running makes me feel so good. I think it might be the endorphins. So I fed and bundled my baby, put her in her car seat, strapped her to the stroller, grabbed my dog and off we went. We didn't go far because the sky looked like it could start pouring rain at any time but we did 5.2km in 43 minutes and I felt great afterwards. I am thrilled that I managed to sneak in a little run around the rain. Hopefully it will be nice like that again tomorrow so I can sneak in another little run.

I'm looking forward to my Friday morning WI this week even though I know I won't lose as much as last week thanks to Easter weekend, but I am really confident that I will remain in the 160's and that makes me happy. On another happy note, Lillian had sweet potato today, and goodness me she loved it! It was all gone in like 15 minutes and very little ended up on her.

Hope all is well with all of you!

  1. Good for you getting in a run.
I tried running with my 2 year old in the stroller the other night, I don't know how you do it....that was really hard on me. I felt like I was hardly moving but yet I was huffing and puffing! And then you add a dog to your equation! You are my hero!!!

  2. You have to remember Christine my little one is almost 6 months old and I've been running with her since she was 2.5 months old. So while the car seat and stroller and her are around 40lbs it's slowly going up so I don't notice the difference in her weight as she grows. The dog has also been trained to run beside me on the left since she was a puppy so I shorten the leash by putting it around my hips and she can't go anywhere.

    It all just takes practice.

  3. Practice and a great deal more strength than I currently have. You are doing awesome!!!
