So today I'm feeling more like me and am able to get back to things but for someone who has crazy energy like I do being sick like that just zaps me. Usually I'm out of commission, physical activity wise, for 10-14 days. I can get back right away but only up to 20% of my normal for days 1-4 , then 50% of usual for days 5-10, and then 75-90% for days 11-14 and by the end of that I'm usually back to normal. So even though I'm so ridiculously close to not only hitting my original goal of 184km but my revised goal of 213km, right now I'll be lucky if I make the 184km. So I'm super disappointed but there is nothing I can do. I need to give my body time to rest and heal. One thing to be thankful for though is that my half-marathon race isn't until mid-September so at least this bit of sickiness won't affect that.
