So it's less than 12 hours until my Waterloo Half-Marathon race. Holy cow I am super nervous and excited at the same time!
So I've got my oatmeal cooked and in the fridge. I've got my nuun in the fridge de-fizzing so I can close the bottle without bubbles making it leak. My running cookies are in their bag, my shoes and extra clothes are in a bag, I've got my clothes for the day out with my garmin on top. I've also got my plan of when to get up and when to go and such so that's good, and now my baby just needs to sleep through the night for me.
I bought myself a little treat today too. I bought a waist band to attach my race number to so I don't have to pin my jacket. So now instead of wearing my water belt (eikkkk) I'll be wearing this. It gives me the comfort of the belt around me without the weight of the water belt. I figure with water stations every 3km I'll be okay. I have started running without water in my 5k runs so I know I can do this.
So now I'm getting nervous and should now go rest before bed. I hope you all have a great day and I'll write about my race tomorrow night.
My goals for my race are simple:
1- Finish in under 2:22:22
2- Finish in under 2:30:00
3- Finish the race pain free and without having an accident (tummy related)
