Question for you!

Okay lovely blog readers. I know that I have been slacking as of late on my blogging and for that I am sorry. I know there is now excuse, though sick kids is one of the major things that has kept me from writing. Well that and the fact that I needed to finish knitting enough scarves for my daughters' daycare teachers as a Christmas gift. They have a total of 6 super, fantastic ladies who supervise them and I needed everyone to have a choice. The mere thought of the last woman getting suck with a scarf really upset me, so I knitted a total of 9 scarves in about two weeks. Now granted a few already partially knitted and I just have to finish them, but I still made five or six from the beginning. So needless to say my hands have been very busy knitting rather than blogging, but now that the wonderful ladies who take such great care of my girls have picked their scarves out and we held my husband's work Christmas party tonight in our house (the joys of being self employed/working for a startup) means that after my rest night tomorrow I can actually have a bit more time for me and that means blogging and lots more photos.

So now on to my question. Steve has purchased me a new site to run Wordpress from since I've run out if photo space on blogger. Now I need to decide whether to just move my old 2010 and 2011 blog posts to the new site as a sort of archive and keep using this site for my blogging, or whether I should move everything over go the new site and learn rouse the new platform. Now while I am not scared of new technology, and my hubby has been using this platform for years on his own site, I don't want to lose or alienate my readers. So PLEASE comment and let me know what you think.

Would your change your bookmark and go to my new site or would you rather I stay put and keep doing what I've been doing here?

Let me know your thoughts!

4,000 is a big number!

For those of you who have been reading this blog for some time you probably understand where I am going with this. I recently hit my 4,000 km running mark, and I have to admit that that is a lot of kilometres run. I am so proud of myself for being so close to hitting that magical 5,000km mark. But I have to be honest with you. I didn't actually realize that I broke 4,000 km until after I did it. I have been so busy with life and getting things ready for Christmas that when I had a few minutes to think about it and realize that I must be getting close to that big round number I found out I had actually passed it. Oh well!

So here are my fun statistics!
  • 4,019km run since January 2010
  • run 10% of the way around the world
  • ran a total of 539.84 hours
  • powered 7,412 TVs (not sure how that works)
  • burned 95 lbs of 1,805 donuts
  •  destroyed 6 pairs of running shoes (3 I can still use if I rotate but I'm due for new ones)
  • ran 3 half-marathons and 1 full marathon and countless smaller races (my guess is 8)
  • in 2012 I ran 1,620km
I am still in awe of what I have managed to do. I know I will hit my 5,000th km next year and this is just unbelievable. I never thought I would manage to accomplish this, and now I know I can do anything. Don't mind me while I do my little happy dance.

Loads of fun!

Sorry that there are no photos to go with this post but I'm out of space again and Steve is still working on getting my new blog site up and running to hold my older posts.

This weekend was a wonderfully busy one! My mother picked up Lillian on Friday and we looked forward to a busy weekend of being the parents of only 1 busy toddler. On Saturday I ran the 1st Annual Santa Pursuit and did the best I could! I ran the 5k in just under 33 minutes. Not my best 5k but I am proud non-the-less.

I then spent my Sunday knitting, and going to church, running 10k for fun,  and having lunch out with my hubby and Katrina. So a very great and relaxing weekend. But as has been the case my knitting took up all my blogging time (only 1 scarf left to finish for the ladies in my daughters daycare rooms) and I can have some more free evening time!

Last photo until new blog goes up!
Hope you all had a great weekend and don't you LOVE Katrina jumping in and stealing Lillian's photo?
